The Men of the Rás raced up Mamore Gap today; a climb that has proven a rite of passage for generations of Irish cyclists and visitors to our shores.
Epic stages have been won here while the challenge of others has turned to ashes.
It's the closest thing we have to a great Giro or Tour climb; Ireland's answer to Alpe d'Huez, if you will.
And it's not just brutal for the riders, it's also an amazing arena for spectators to gather and cheer on the gladiators.
As usual it was packed for the racing today. And these photos and videos caught some terrific action.
