The skill of the motorbike driver in this video is a joy to behold – if nerve wracking - as he moves through the large Rás bunch on tiny country roads.
All week during the Rás we brought you fantastic photos by the race’s official photographer Paul Mohan of Sportsfile and video highlights by NPE Media.
But behind the shots and the video is a lot of hard work; most of it trying to get those with the cameras into the best positions to do their jobs.
In the clip below, we have a fascinating insight into the view Paul Mohan got this week as he was driven up through the bunch by his moto driver, Peter Flanagan.
This footage was captured on stage 6 as the race made its way from Ballina to Ballinamore.
These guys really take their lives in their hands, weaving up through the tightly packed bunch – often on narrow roads – to get ahead of the racing and spot the next vantage point for photos and footage.
