Video Peter Sagan helps race crew pack up flamme rouge
Not too long ago Peter Sagan was getting into trouble for his behaviour on the podium. But now he's helping the race crew pack up after a hot day in the sun.
The world champion climbed very well on today's stage 4 at the Tour Down Under in Australia.
And in the sprint to the line he prevailed from the lead group; claiming the stage and leader's jersey.
He beat Daryl Impey (Mitchelton-Scott) and Luis Leon Sanchez (Astana) to win into Uraidla.
But not content with cleaning up in the race, he stopped off to help the crew pack up. He was passing workmen taking the inflatable flamme rouge down.
And rather than continue on his way, he stopped and gave the crew a hand. A video of the incident emerged later, below.
A number of people also gathered to have a look at the unusual sight. Sagan stopped to get photos and selfies taken with the fans present.
Tomorrow he faces the challenging stage 5. It takes the riders up Willunga Hill. After that there's the final stage in Adelaide on Sunday.
Ireland's Sam Bennett, a Bora-hansgrohe team mate of Sagan's, has been ill in Australia.
He caught a head cold the week before the race, which has hit him hard. He was sidelined from training for almost a week and complained of being drained.
Bennett finished towards the back of the race today. But hopefully he can put this week behind him soon and get back to winning ways.
He enjoyed an incredible end of season in 2017. And if he was in better health and got a clear run at the line on Sunday he could win.
Either way. he will get another chance at Race Melbourne, which he won last year, and at the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race before he leaves Australia.
