Conor Dunne went on the attack and the riders he was with went after him, but this motorist driving this car insisted on jumping into the action too.
In the early hours of this morning Irish time, Conor Dunne was riding in the breakaway in Korea and went all-out for victory on the penultimate stage.
The Irishman had been forced to climb out of a ravine on Friday's stage 6 at the Tour de Korea having crashed off the road and lost his bike in deep undergrowth in a rain forest.
He was forced to leave his bike behind but thankfully managed to scramble back up to the roadside and signal to his team car that he was one of the fallers as it was about to speed off.
The big man bounced back in some style today on stage 7, going clear in a six-man escape and trying very hard in the final to get clear for a solo victory.
The Irish elite international was pegged back by his breakaway companions each time, with a car getting involved at one point.
As the first video below shows, Dunne was just off the front of the group and those behind were lined out chasing him hard when a car went from one side of the road to the other in the gap between Dunne and chasers, clearly in a hurry to overtake.
Thankfully all involved got away with it, but this looked like crazy driving to us.
There's a second clip below of the finish of the stage and you can read our race report by following this link.
Car gets involved with 18.5km to go
