Perhaps the most shocking thing about this video is the number of buses breaking these lights; some ignoring the red light against them even when it has changed a number of seconds earlier.
A lot of the debate between motorists and cyclists tends to focus on many of those on two wheels apparently being unaware that traffic lights apply to them.
And certainly some cyclists break red lights routinely.
But when a camera recorded road user behaviour at the set of traffic lights in Dublin featured in the clip below, driver behaviour was shown to be much, much worse than that of cyclists.
Vehicle after vehicle breaks the lights.
And in a number of cases those ignoring the red light against them are bus drivers with large numbers of passengers in their care at the time.

Vehicle after vehicle goes through these red lights.
One bus driver goes through a red light long after it has changed against him.
And some motorists are oblivious, or indifferent, to the fact that pedestrians are trying to cross the road – with the green man in their favour - when they’re ploughing through the lights.
The footage was filmed at the end of last year at Doyle’s Corner, North Circular Road, Dublin 7.
It was posted on YouTube under an account bobgoodbear.
