Video: Oncoming tipper truck very nearly takes out novice riders
This truck’s wheels crossed the continuous white line and gave these riders the fright of their lives.
Three cyclists new to the sport have been given a very scary introduction to the open road after a near miss with a truck.
The cyclists involved were out for a spin in the north west in recent days when the incident occurred.
Just as the oncoming truck reached them, its outside wheels veered over the white lines.
And with very little space to play with on the narrow country road, all involved were lucky this wasn't a much more serious encounter.

The rider closest to the white line, whose camera was recording, clearly got the fright of his life. He can be heard screaming anxiously as the tipper passes him.

Two riders could have been caught
One of the three riders is up ahead; seemingly oblivious to the scare his companions have just endured.
The cyclist whose camera recorded the incident was riding alongside the third man in the group.
If he had been in collission with the truck as it passed, his colleague on the inside of him could also have been caught.
Be careful out there people. This was a very frightening scare but hopefully it won’t put these riders of the sport.
