Nicolas Roche, second Sky rider from left, could be seen bent over his bike trying to fix it up after the crash in the footage below during stage 9 of the Vuelta on Sunday.
The on-board footage of Sunday's stage 9 of Vuelta - some 168.3km from Torrevieja to Cumbre del Sol - captures a major crash involving Irish rider Nicolas Roche.
The Team Sky man was not one of the hardest fallers and appeared to come off at the front of the pile-up, which took down a large number of riders.
As the fallers gathered themselves and set off again, Roche and a team mate can be seen in the footage below trying to fix their bikes up as fast as they can.
Roche was bent over his bike and appeared to be having trouble with his gears or chain.
However, when a fantastic battle played out up the closing 4km climb of Alto de Puig Llorença, Roche had long regained his place at the head of the race.
He was one of the main animators of the action and eventually finished 8th on the stage, slipping one place from 3rd to 4th overall.
