There were broken bikes and broken bodies all over the road after this huge crash that saw racing halted for 20 minutes.
There are crashes and there are crashes; and the one captured in this on-board footage was a huge home.
It was stage 3 in the North Star Grand Prix with the riders had only raced just over 6km of the 133km stage.
The riders didn’t seem to be travelling at a huge speed but the damage was incredible, especially given the sheer number of riders who came down hard.

The extent of the smash blocked the road meaning the cavalcade could not pass through the crash site.
And with so many of the fallers needing help – to replace broken bikes or tend to broken bodies – the race was unsurprisingly halted for 20 minutes.
