Remco Evenepoel has shared a video of himself trying to take a few steps in hospital following his crash at Il Lombardia.
The 20-year-old Belgian went into the race as hot favourite having won every stage race he'd ridden since the start of the season but suffered an awful crash.
He misjudged the descent of the Muro di Sormano, hitting a bridge and plunging off it. He suffered a lung injury and a broken pelvis.

Now back home in Belgium, he has been trying to take his first steps and the video below really demonstrates the impact of his injury as he struggles to put one foot on front of the other.
"I did a different kind of time trial today... Making small steps forward," he said in reference to inching forward on the day of the Belgium TT championships, which he was due to ride and which he placed 3rd in last year.
