Here's a fantastic little clip shot at the Nicolas Roche Performance Team launch in Carton House, Maynooth, Co Kildare, recently. There's also information in here about the SKODA Tour de Conamara sportive in June.
It takes place on Saturday May 25th in Clifden, Conamara, with online entry closing this day week; Friday May 17th. The event offers 140km or 80km routes and is accompanied by a festival of events in the area.
The day after the sportive, the organisers are running a new team time trial event; which can take 50 teams. There are around 10 slots left for those interested. It's a 40km team time trial in Carna, south Conamara and is a fundraiser for Cancer Care West. Many of the teams thus far are club teams, or made up of friends or work colleagues.

Each team can have a maximum of five riders and a minimum of three. The times of the first three team members are the times to count. The cost is €100 and the event is presented by Newstalk, while PowerBar are providing each cyclist with a few goodies. There are ten team categories; from best overall, best female, club, corporate, non Cycling Ireland licence holder team, and so on. Registration for the team event closes on Thursday 23rd May.
