New Yorker Casey Neistat got a ticket from the police for not riding in the bike lane.
He tried to explain to the officer that it's not always the safest place to be, and not always even possible to ride there. But his protest fell on deaf ears and he was forced to pay his $50 fine.
In an effort to prove his point, he decided to shoot this short film which clearly demonstrates the hazards cyclists meet in bike lanes from time to time and the disregard some road users have for the lanes.
