Video: Murphy caught in huge first corner Worlds crash

The footage shows JB Murphy getting badly caught by the crash and taking to his feet at the back of what was a huge number of fallers.

JB Murphy put in a strong ride yesterday at the World Cyclocross Championships; the young Irishman forced into running through a mass of riders on the first corner as the videos below show.

He began the race 30th on the grid but the clips show the sheer extent of the pile-up on that first corner.

And in the first clip below we can clearly be seen held up until he is running through the back of the field to keep going.

All credit to him; he gathered himself and kept going to take 52nd on the day.

He came home on the same lap as winner Tom Pidcock, who headed a British clean sweep of the junior men’s podium.
