We don’t even want to speculate what speed Eoin Mullen was doing here when he crashed but he was definitely travelling at a clip.
To be fair to the Aran Islander, there was absolutely nothing he could have done about this – much like his crash in the World Championships back in January.
Here, Hungarian rider Sandor Szalontay tries to go up the inside and onto the blue band, which is an automatic disqualification.
So when he banks into the bend too tightly his front wheel gives way and he’s sent careering across the boards, right into Mullen’s path.
The emerging Irish star had nowhere to go and slammed the ground hard, his head taking a hefty impact in the process.
Thankfully, he was spared serious injury and he walked away from this smash.
