This series of photos and the video at the bottom of them depicts the terrifying moments a leisurely ride through the woods turns to the stuff of nightmares for an unsuspecting mountain biker.
Pursued by a bear whose huge size is matched only by his ability to run bloody fast; our hero suffers the kind of setback you never need, especially when a wild animal is hunting you down.
But then lady luck intervenes, just about in the nick of time; well worth a watch.

It was a usual day, I decided tо cycle in the forest and to record my walk on the Gopro. To my great surprise, I met a bear, which hardly наброситься on me. Thanks God, I left alive due to the shots that thundered not far from that location!

A fork in the track; which way to go, left or right?
D'Oh! Our hero chooses right and is no sooner around the next bend but his path is blocked by a fallen branch. Having been absent on 'bunny hopping day' in mountain bike school, he stops and flees into the trees on foot.
Hiding behind a tree, a peak about brings no better news than the anxious glances behind while still in the saddle.
What sounds like gunshots - perhaps from hunters - can be heard in the distance and the bear bolts for his safety leaving our hero decidedly shook and in need of a change of underpants, but with some legendary footage from his helmet cam.
