The moto is getting into trouble in this photo. He tries to rescue it but fails, with man and machine sliding into the flying bunch.
If the incessant rain and three mountains facing the field on the opening stage of the Tour des Fjords in Norway weren't enough to contend with, a motorbike driver sliding into the bunch certainly kept the riders on their toes.
The motorcyclist was trying to overtake the field with 29km remaining on the 177km run from Bergen to Norheimsund when he unintentionally veered onto a grass verge.
He seemed to get stuck on the grass as it dipped lower than the road surface.
And when he tried to get his wheels back onto the tarmac things went horribly wrong, as the clip below shows.

The riders are left in ribbons after hitting the wet road. The stricken motorbike is to the right of shot.
He came off his bike, with himself and his heavy machine sliding on the wet road into the peloton.
It was chasing down a breakaway at the time which had 1:35 in hand, meaning the sprinters teams were ramping up the speed.
A number of riders fell, though perhaps not as many as you might expect. The stage was eventually won by Alexander Kristoff (Katusha) in a bunch sprint.
And while anyone's first sympathies would be with the riders taken out of it in such a serious way, it's hard not to feel some sympathy for the driver.
The footage demonstrates how a simple mistake can cause carnage very quickly at a bike race.
Moto mayhem...
