The novelty race in full flight; it sparked plenty of interest from the crowd and was for a good cause.
Nicolas Roche last night went head-to-head with a race horse and jockey in Dublin in aid of charity.
Roche was beaten over 400 metres, run on the final two uphill furlongs of the Leopardstown track in south Dublin, by champion jockey Pat Smullen on board the Dermot Weld trained Moonbi Creek.
The event was in aid of the Children’s Medical & Research Foundation at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin and took just over 25 seconds.
