Video: Middle aged farmer in overalls drafts Uran during hard TT effort

Rigoberto Uran poses with the middle aged man who drafted him, despite being in his working clothes and having a large bag on his back

The self-styled man of the people in Colombia, Rigoberto Uran took a break from his TT training on home roads to marvel at a middle aged man who was able to site on him though he was pushing the pace while TT training.

While Uran was putting a decent effort in on his TT bars, the man he met was able to sit on him despite being in his working cloths, with boots on and a large bag on his bike.

The commuter was also a good deal older than Uran, who stopped to record a video with him as he was so impressed with him. A video of the incident is included below.

The EF Pro Cycling rider was out for a 112km ride on his
TT bike, taking him four hours and over 2,000 metres of elevation, when he
caught and passed the farmer.

However, despite being down on his TT bars and pushing
the pace, the man jumped in behind and was able to hold the Colombian pro
cyclist.

According to local reports the incident was genuine and
was not set up, with both riders traveling around 45km per hour at the time.

Uran said he was surprised that the farmer was able to hold him given his age and the fact he was in his working clothes.

"This streamlined guy appears alongside me and I thought, this one is getting ready for the Tour", he said.

Uran can't shake off the middle aged farmer and soon stopped to have a chat with him
