Video: Man filmed using angle grinder to steal bikes in central Dublin

Three bikes were stolen from central Dublin after this man used an angle grinder to break even expensive locks that were securing the bikes he was targeting

A man has been filmed, below,
using an angle grinder to steal bikes locked outside a business premises in
central Dublin.

The video below shows the person
cutting through a lock to take the third bike of three that passersby said were
stolen.

Before this footage began being
filmed an associate of the man with the angle grinder had already left the
scene with two bikes.

One eyewitness said some people
walking in the area shouted at the man using the angle grinder but he was
undeterred by them.

The same witness said members of
the public may have been reluctant to approach him because of the power tool in
his possession.

While he struggled initially to
cut the lock away and free up the bike he was targeting he eventually managed
to break the lock.

And when he did he jumped onto the
bike and rode off the direction of the Samuel Beckett Bridge over the River
Liffey and after his associate with the other two bikes.
