Greg Swinand prevailed over Alan Bingham in the two-up sprint that decided the destination of the Masters 40 road race Irish title at the National Road Championships on Saturday.
The pair - riding for Team Aquablue and Cuchulainn CC respectively - came home at the head of affairs 10 seconds ahead of a group of 10 men.
That chasing group was led home by another of the pre race favourites Dermot Radford of North Tipp who, like a clutch of the best riders in the race, has won hard A1 races in recent seasons.
The sprint for victory and then the gallop for 3rd were both absolutely brilliant, as these videos and Sean Rowe's photos reveal.
Sprint for gold was tight!
