Video: Irish cyclist forced to get out of way (fast) of crashed motorbike

This crashed motorbike skids for a huge distance, with our A1 club rider forced to get out of the way, quickly.

The increased use of bike-mounted cameras and headcams has thrown up some usual footage in recent years.

We’ve seen everything from ostriches chasing pro riders out training to cyclists and motorists losing their cool in disputes and becoming internet stars for all the wrong reasons.

But the wheels4u.ie guys in Celbridge, Co Kildare, have sent us a clip that takes the biscuit.

It features a crash between a motorbike and car, though thankfully – and incredibly – there were no serious injuries.

The truly remarkable thing is that the crashed motorbike skid so far on its side across the road, and towards the cyclist recording the clip.

The man in question is Keith Hughes and he could clearly hear and see the bike coming hurtling towards him on the Clane to Maynooth road last Friday.

He was forced to scarper away from it and dart across the road to make sure it didn’t wipe him out.

It’s incredible footage and thankfully everyone emerged, not quite unscathed, but with body and soul intact.
