Video: Inside Dan Martin's Garmin Sharp camp just before Liège–Bastogne–Liège

Irish international Dan Martin pins on No 1 to his jersey as defending champion for today's Liège–Bastogne–Liège.

Dan Martin is the first Irish international to start a monument as defending champion since Sean Kelly lined up for Milan Sanremo in 1993. On that occasion defending champion Kelly was 39th.

Having finished 2nd in Flèche Wallonne on Wednesday, Martin starts today's Liège–Bastogne–Liège as one of the favourites.

Check out the video below of him and his team on a reconnaissance ride up the iconic La Redoute climb which the field hits 219km into today's 263km race. It's the fourth last of the 10 categorised climbs today.
