A new two-way cycleway in Dublin's Phoenix Park was completely blocked by illegally parked cars last weekend, as this video reveals.
The vehicles are parked all along the stretch of cycleway in the clip, rather than at just one location.
The Dublin Cycling Campaign has released the footage, which it says was recorded by one of its members during National Bike Week.
“A brand new two-way, segregated cycle track was opened on Wellington Road in the Phoenix Park just two months ago,” it says.

“This video, taken last weekend, shows the entire cycle track completely blocked with parked cars.
“Drivers ignored both the bright green cycle track and the double yellow lines.
“Meanwhile, people on bikes were forced into oncoming traffic due to the cycle track being blocked.
“The Phoenix Park is a popular location for novice cyclists to gain experience and become comfortable handling a bike on the roads.
“How selfish of the people who parked here to put those novice bikers in harm's way like this.”
