The piece with McQuaid was broadcast at the end of a long news-style item on his role at the top of the UCI, the Lance Armstrong affair and doping generally.

Interviewed for that item was the well known journalist Shane Stokes as well as former Cycling Ireland board member Anto Moran, the federation's current CEO Geoff Liffey, Cycling Ireland medic Dr Conor McGrane and Travis Tygart the head of the US Anti Doping Agency (USADA).

Also appearing here is Jörg Jaksche, the German former pro rider and winner of Paris Nice in 2004 who claims that when he went to the UCI to blow the whistle on drugs in the sport in 2007 he was effectively ignored.
