For a traditional design based on the national flag, QuickStep has done a fantastic job in Gilbert's jersey and shorts.
We may be biased, being the Irish cycling site; but for us the Bora–hansgrohe kit of Sam Bennett is the nicest team gear we’ve seen so far for the coming season.
And the job BMC Racing has done on Nicolas Roche’s national champion’s jersey is one of the best Irish champ’s kits we’ve ever seen.
But we’ve always been huge fans of the Belgian champion’s jersey and the Belgian national team’s kit; one of the most inconic in the sport.
And with Philippe Gilbert wearing that champion’s jersey into the new road season and riding for a Belgian team, the pressure was on to do something sweet with his kit.
And we think you’ll agree QuickStep has outdone itself; not an easy task when working with the national flag design that’s been around forever.
