Chris Froome received a very dodgy reception when he and Team Sky appeared at the Tour de France presentation on Thursday evening.

Usually a celebration of the race and an opportunity to see the stars close up; Chris Froome got a difficult reception from the crowd at the Tour de France team presentation.

Froome was jeered and booed by some sections of the crowd. Shouts and whistles also went up when he appeared.

The event, which is the traditional curtain-raiser for the race each year, was held in La Roche-sur-Yon.

All of the teams ride up onto and off of the stage, with waving to the crowd and short interviews with the MC in between.

Froome is the reigning champion and usually a hero's welcome would be the order of the day.

This time around though, as the videos below show, sections of the crowd were very vocal against him.

Chris Froome was told on Tuesday the salbutamol case against him had been closed after nine months. He has no case to answer.

However, Team Sky's credibility was shot to pieces before the issue emerged at last year's Vuelta, which Chris Froome won.

As a result, it is perhaps no surprise not everyone has been won over by his exoneration.
