Eddie Dunbar made a flying visit to the west of Ireland to test his legs and promote a cycling event next month. A video of the climb the riders will do during the event has surfaced and it's one where Dunbar absolutely smashes it with consummate ease. Take a look.
Eddie Dunbar’s climbing prowess is no secret but actually seeing the flying Corkman in action as the road goes up is a rare enough occurrence.
However, a video promoting the upcoming Westport Gran Fondo has captured the Axeon-Hagens Berman rider whipping up a famous road in Mayo known as Sheffrey’s Pass, with the wind blowing a gale and rain coming down pretty heavily.
Dunbar managed a staggering average speed of 29kph for the climb, which took him just over five minutes to complete.
Putting out an average of 430 Watts at 56 kilos, we think it’s fair to say Dunbar is ready to race.
Take a look, it’s pretty impressive - though no sightings of Justin Bieber here.
