
The view was spectacular but it wasn’t enough for our unicyclist buddy so he rode around the rim of the chimney over 800ft into the sky.
It’s not our idea of a leisurely, or even a stress-busting, bike ride but each to their own.
Flaviu Cernescu, 34, obviously comes from the go big or go home school of cycling – or dare-devilling –so when he decided to take his unicycle for a spin a few days ago he did it at the top of a disused chimney 840ft into the sky.
The Romanian cycled confident around the top of the CET Târgu Jiu stack in his homeland, even recording himself at times using a selfies stick.
And if that wasn’t scary enough, he even bunny hopped some of the iron in the structure and even hung off it one-handed.
“I’ve been riding unicycles now for about 12 years and have been slowly working on riding on narrow and tall things,” he said.
“Riding on huge stuff like this chimney requires some big mental relaxation and correct visual focus.”
