When a drone was flown over the Dublin and Wicklow mountains to film the heavy covering of snow, it rumbled these three lads doing sneaky training on roads where cars were being dug out (Photo: Skycam Ireland)
When the Dublin and Wicklow mountains got their first serious covering of snow of the winter on Saturday night, the boys and girls at Skycam Ireland saw it as a great opportunity.
They sent one of their drones up to film the beautiful countryside and captured some really spectacular footage, as you’ll see in the clip below.
But aside from a thick blanket of white, the camera also picked up some human activity up there, despite people being warned to stay away from the area.
The conditions were so bad Sally Gap was even closed and the clip below shows motorists digging their cars out of the snow.
But nobody told the three lads out for a sneaky mountain spin who were spotted and filmed by the drone despite riding in an area where they should have been free from prying eyes.
The footage was filmed along the Dublin-Wicklow border in the area around military road.
Don’t ever tell us again that you’re not doing much training guys because clearly you’re living like the pros!
Hat tip, Rachel O'Hara.
Caught rapid!
