Anouska Koster (Rabo-Liv) was in a bad, bad way in the heat after crashing in the TTT at the World Road Championships in Doha.
With temperatures in the high 30s for the team time trials today at the World Road Championships in Doha, there were some nasty scenes in the women’s race that may have been linked to the conditions.
One rider hit the roadside barriers and looked extremely disorientated as she tried to get back on her bike and other threw up in the finishing straight, videos below.
The faller was Anouska Koster (Rabo-Liv) who had crashed out training on the course in recent days and has bandaged even before her team's ride got underway today.
She collided with the barriers at the side of the road and as she attempted to get back on her feet and back onto her bike she could be seen staggering.
Incredibly - and worryingly - she got back on the bike and finished the race.
