Video: Day in the life of An Post Chainreaction soigneur Stacey Kelly

Stacey Kelly oversees the care of the riders in the An Post-Chainreaction team as it moves around the pro racing circuit in Europe.

Boasting a squad of riders that races all over Europe, the An Post-Chainreaction team also has a large group of employees, all of whom make their contribution to keeping the show on the road.

Even during the off season, the team is constantly on the go; putting on team training camps and bringing new sponsors and riders in for the following year, as well as organising the riders' bikes and kit for the campaign to come.

Stacey Kelly is part of that team; the Carrick woman working as a soigneur for the Continental squad, which has five Irish riders on its books and has punched well above its weight in recent years.

She is responsible for many aspects of the riders' care; from keeping them fed on the bike to massaging their muscles after a race effort and also looking after some of the logistics that keeps the squad on the road.

In this video, she takes us through parts of her daily routine on the road. She's on the An Post Rás here, which unfolded on the roads of Ireland back in May, though the film has only been published now by Chainreactioncycles.com.
