Dan Martin seems pretty pleased with his own performance yesterday and with that of the team, but rues not finishing the job and winning Flèche Wallonne.
Here's a short post-race interview Garmin-Sharp has put out with their star turn Dan Martin after his second-place ride at Flèche Wallonne in Belgium yesterday, Wednesday.
All in all he seems pretty content with the outcome, though can't help but speak of what might have been.
With a strong team around him and especially team mate Tom Jelte Slagter finishing in 5th, Martin and the Garmin-Sharp crew go into Sunday's Liège–Bastogne–Liège in very good shape as the Irish climber aims to defend the title he blasted to 12 months ago.

Martin in full flight rounding the final bend after 257.5km (160 miles) and 6hrs 38mins in the saddle to win his first monument Liège–Bastogne–Liège 12 months ago. Last but one man standing, Joaquin Rodriguez of Katusha is just behind him in the shot. In third place on the day, some 9 seconds behind the Irish international, was Movistar’s Alejandro Valverde. It was the Spaniard who denied Martin victory at Flèche Wallonne on Wednesday.
