A cyclist in Poland has filmed this clip with his on-board camera, showing him taking down a mugger hard after she had stolen a purse when attacking another young woman.
The crime and no nonsense intervention occurred in Wroclaw, Poland, last Tuesday morning as the 17-year-old victim was on her way to school.
The victim was beaten on the street by two women who also robbed her.
The cyclist was alerted to the attack when he heard shouts of “help me, help me” as he was making his way on his morning commute.
He quickly realised what was happening and seeing the distraught victim on the street and her two attackers running off with the stolen items, the cyclist set off after the mugger and her accomplice.

Apparently citizens’ arrests are common in Poland so the cyclist rode fast after the attackers and took down the woman with the stolen purse by barging into her while still on his bike.

He said afterwards he realised the attackers were drunk when he got up close enough to knock them over and retrieve the purse for the teenage victim.
The incident didn’t end there, with the cyclist – who posted the video under his misiek97012387 YouTube account – saying the two women were abusive and threatened him with violence.
However, with the help of other women who were passing the scene, they held the women on the spot until the police arrived and took them away.
But before that point, the victim ran after the cyclist and swooped in to get her purse back the moment the mugger was sent flying.
