Video cyclist pushed off road from inside passing car
The Derry Journal has reported that a clip of a cyclist being pushed off his bike at speed from a passing car was recorded in the county.
In recent days the footage, which is just seconds long, has been going viral across social media.
However, while many social media users said they believed it was Ireland, the location was not clear.
Now the Derry Journal has said the assault on the cyclist took place at Kilrea, Co Derry.
The video is filmed from inside a car. One of the men in the vehicle leans out a window as they catch a cyclist up ahead.
The cyclist is in his full kit and appears to be out training.
As the vehicle passes, the man leaning out the window leans forward and pushes the cyclist.
It sends the cyclist hurtling off the road and into the ditch at speed.
Laughter can then be heard inside the car as the vehicle continues and the clip stops.
It was unclear at the time of writing if the cyclist had suffered serious injury or whether he had reported the matter.
