One rider’s sly kick into the front wheel of another cyclist he was overtaking was madness.
Seeing any kind of road rage involving cyclists is not good. But when it’s bike rider on bike rider it’s especially unpleasant.
In this clip, Raphael Carrondo was riding through evening rush hour traffic in the middle of London in August when another cyclist took exception to his presence.
The aggressor, riding a BMX, kicked Carrondo’s bike from under him as he overtook him; sending his victim crashing to road.
The attacker had tried to pass Carrondo on the inside just before the kicking incident and it appears he may have taken exception to finding his way blocked.
However, the victim has insisted he was unaware anyone had tried to undertake him until he watched the footage later.
"This guy just came out of nowhere and leathered my front wheel,” Carrondo said.
“I went flying over the handlebars and my head almost went under the bus - it was terrifying.
“(He) just pedaled past and smashed my front wheel with his boot…. . I could have easily died.”
