Video: Cyclist and coach up close in Dublin
Anyone who cycles around Dublin, or indeed any city or large town, will know ‘big vehicle discomfort’.
It’s that moment when a truck or a bus passes you at close quarters on tight city streets.
And the drivers don’t even need to be doing anything wrong.
Sometimes it’s simply the sheer size of a vehicle sharing a tight road space can that scare the life out of you.
In the clip below, that sense of intimidation that can come from big vehicles while cycling is clear to see.
The incident occurred on Customs House Quay in the north inner city.
And it perfectly captures just how closely we share the roads with these massive vehicles.
