The bird swooped no fewer than 13 times and was clearly inflicting pain judging by the yells of this cyclist!
An Australian cyclist was being attacked so regularly, and with such predictability, by the same magpie during his training rides he decided to try and get some footage of his tormentor.
The result was this great little clip.
The incident, in which the magpie swooped to attack the rider 13 times, was recorded by Anthony Newman in New South Wales.
Newman was out getting the miles in with buddy Brent Simpson in Chillingham, Murwillumbah, when his feathered friend struck again.
"Now I have come across a few psycho and aggressive magpies over my time, but no magpie comes close to being as hectic and relentless as this one," Newman said.
He provides some pretty funny commentary, but had clearly had enough after the bird’s eight swoop.
“It nearly pushed me off my bike and threw me over the handlebars," he told Yahoo7.
“I am always getting smashed by birds," he added, revealing an earlier attack by the same bird had left his helmet with several new ventilation holes!
Some man for the birds...
