When former Vuelta winner Chris Horner had a mechanical at the Phily Classic, he went absolutely bonkers. And members of the Irish team just missed it!
When the Irish National Team lined out at the Philadelphia International Cycling Classic in the US on Sunday they were up against some pretty good teams.
One big name on the start list was Chris Horner, the veteran 2013 Vuelta winner who is now plying his trade on the US circuit.
On Lemon Hill during the last lap of the race, Horner (Lupus Racing) came to a halt and was forced off his bike when he appeared to drop his chain.
He tried for a few seconds to right the problem and get going again.
But when that failed, he picked up his bike and threw it hard against the road while letting out a yelp!
The epic meltdown - see videos below - occurred just after both Eddie Dunbar and Damien Shaw of the Irish team filed past the stricken American.
Had they been a couple of seconds further down the road they would have been trying to dodge a flying bike!
