The dramatic CCTV clip below should be compulsory viewing for anyone with an expensive bike; demonstrating just how easy it is for kids to rob you.
The bikes in question were owned by Josh Teasdale, the Closed Circuit Time Trial British champion.
The 21-year-old kept his bikes in his garage, which is fitted with an aluminium door with windows.
Just before 3.30pm on Tuesday of last week, two teenagers aged around 15 or 16 years cycled into the driveway and smashed the glass with a brick
One of them ran inside the garage and within seconds had passed out two of Teasdale’s bikes to his accomplice, who threw them over his shoulder and cycled off.
The other thief then went back inside the garage for another look around and within seconds had emerged with a third bike.
The stolen haul included a Scott Plasma and Scott Plasma TT, as well as a red and black Ridley.
They have a combined value of £20,000 or €25,000.
The incident may have occurred in Stockton-on-Tees in the UK, but there are definitely lessons to be learned by Irish riders
You’ve got to secure your bikes well away from prying eyes, even if your house or shed is on a busy street like in this clip.

The thieves break the glass in the door and one runs inside, grabbing the bikes and passing them out to his accomplice.

One the thieves throws two of the full TT bikes over his shoulder and cycles off on his own bike while his mate goes back inside for another quick look around and emerges with a third bike.
