Video: Caleb Ewan's incredible sprint position in slow-motion, viewed from side

Caleb Ewan winning the final stage of the Tour Down Under. His sprinting position in the side-view slow-motion clip below has to be seen to be believed.

The pro season hasn’t even gotten underway in Europe yet, with major pro teams looking for some early racing action heading to places like Australia and Argentina.

In Australia, the home riders have had a ball at the Tour Down Under, as they do most years.

Richie Porte (BMC) won Saturday’s queen stage and Simon Gerrans of Orica-GreenEDGE took overall victory; not to mention two stage wins and the points classification overall.

And Gerrans' team mate Caleb Ewan put his absolutely devastating speed to great effect in winning the first and final stages.

Just before the Tour Down Under began, Ewan took gold at the National Criterium Championships and also won the People’s Choice Criterium; held the day before the Australian tour gets underway.

Still only 21-years-old, Ewan has the speed – not to mention time on his side – to become one of the most prolific sprinters in the history of pro cycling.

The clip below, posted by the guys over at CyclingTips, shows Ewan’s incredibly low sprinting position.
