Video: British model in very close call recording Giro peloton selfie
April Summers nearly got knocked into June, and took the Giro riders with her. She got carried away and came very close to a nasty high-speed crash.
When the Tour de France visited the UK a couple of years ago, there was a series of close calls between riders and fans recording selfies.
Spectators were turning their backs to the peloton and recording themselves, or having others do it, as the riders whipped by.
People seem to have wised up a little bit since then. But when major races such as the Tour of Giro d'Italia visit areas that don't see these races often, the excitement can still get to people.
