Matt Brammeier, centre of shot, about to hurtle into the car on the right and suffer injuries that have ended his season.
The video below captures the moment Ireland's Matt Brammeier collided with a team car as he was fighting back onto the peloton coming down a climb at the Tour of Utah on Saturday's stage 6.
The video has been carried widely across the mainstream media, including sports channels in the US and the websites of newspapers in Ireland.
Brammeier comes into a hairpin bend at speed and when a car just ahead slows behind a number of riders rounding the bend carefully, Brammeier is seen hurtling into side of the team vehicle.
A motorbike, which looks to be carrying a race medic, slows at the turn just after Brammeier falls.
Two other riders coming from behind hit the moto at speed, though neither was as seriously injured as the former four-time Irish champion.

Two riders who came on the scene just seconds after Brammeier went down collided with the medical motorbike which was slowing down on the turn. The moment of that impact is captured in the above shot.
A statement on Brammeier's MTN-Quebeka team website explained what happened:
“Matt Brammeier was involved in a high-speed crash on stage 6 of the Tour of Utah,” it confirmed.
“The Irishman collided with a service car on the descent from Guardsman Pass in Big Cottonwood Canyon. He was chasing back to the main peloton by the time.”
The team’s doctor added: “Matt has suffered no head, neck or spinal injuries and is currently stable in hospital.
“His musculoskeletal injuries are significant however. He suffered rib fractures on both sides as well as a small pneumothorax.
“He also has fractures of the sacral and pelvic bones. Matt is unlikely to require surgery but will need some time to recover from his injuries.”
