A Tour de France neutral service crew member has captured these images of Dan Martin stranded by the side of the road.
The QuickStep man had just crashed coming off the Mont du Chat towards the end of Tour de France stage 9 today.

Mavic neutral service find him stranded by the side of the road. They stop and get him going again.
His chain tricky to get back on in the moment of panic. And he also needed a new front wheel.
It always feels like an age when you're stuck by the side of the road in a race. But this clip suggests he was stranded for a not insignificant amount of time.
And that really underlines the quality of the ride he did in limiting his losses to 1:15 on the winning group.
