Video: Bikes, beer & a break from life; two Irish lads take off

The lads hit the bikes for a couple of days away in Co Clare, but they had a bit of craic over pints with the locals too.

Here's a great little film made by Irish off-road riders Garry Davoren and William O'Connor documenting a recent mico adventure into Co Clare.

The lads have made the clip in association with Kona Bikes, which has published the film below, showing how the lads got on as they rode from South Galway to East Clare.

They started in the idyllic village of Carrabane and they wound their way up through Kilchreest and onwards to the Sliabh Aughtys.

A micro adventure, in case you’re wondering, is simply a stripped down adventure when you stay local and leave the car behind.

They were taking inspiration from British explorer Alastair Humphreys whose idea is that a micro adventure should be short, simple, local and cheap.

The lads did a bit of cycling, ate a bit of grub, sank and few pints and generally chilled out. There’s a nice vibe about this; well worth a watch.
