These two were part of a gang of masked men who broke in the door of the bike shop, quickly grabbed a range of bikes and were gone.

A bike shop has released this CCTV footage of a gang of masked raiders breaking in a stealing a range of bikes.

They simply broke the glass door using a crowbar to gain access to the store. Once inside four of them ran around selecting bikes.

The expensive bikes were taken outside through the smashed door before the men made off with their haul.

As the clip shows, the entire thing took less than three minutes. The shop - Clive Mitchell Cycles in Cornwall - estimated the value of the stolen bikes at £51,000, or roughly €57,000.

“I’m just a little but gutted really,” said manager Dan Mitchell. “It’s a bit shock to come in first thing and find it all happened. Yeah; devastating really.”

He added the thieves who hit the Cornwall bike shop selected expensive and electric bikes; 15 in all.

A police spokesman told ITV West County: “We’re appealing to members of the public - because somebody out there, whether it be in Devon or Cornwall or further afield, knows what happened.

“They know the individuals involved; knows the vehicle involved and knows where those bikes are.

“We would really appeal to that member of the public to come forward and contact the police.”
