The ease with which this guy gets through the lock shows how he probably wouldn’t be noticed even on a crowded street. He has it done in seconds and is gone; a lesson to all of us not to scrimp on a cheap lock.
Video bicycle stolen as cheap lock cut in seconds
He’s a clip from the police in Wales that should coming as a warning to all of us.
The man involved is now wanted for questioning about the theft being carried out in the clip.
He walks down the street and approaches the bike. After checking around and fidgeting a bit for a few seconds, he takes something from his bag which we assumed is a cutters.
And then he simply leans over the bike and has the lock cheap in an instant.

But even with the bicycle freed to be whipped away he doesn’t seem to be in much of a hurry.
He casually clears away the lock he has just bypassed and then he’s gone.
The incident occurred outside the Sport Wales arena in Cardiff; in daylight hours and in full view of the cameras.
The theft video, recorded yesterday, is a reminder if one was needed to invest in a really good quality lock.
