Dubbed the world's oldest cycling race the Austral Wheel Race in Melbourne has been marred by a crash.
The 120th edition of the event was in full flight when two riders made contact near the front.
He seemed to be rubbing against those around him, rather than the crash being caused by any major sudden movement.
The first falled would lose his balance and crashed hard rounding the bend. And the majority of those behind were left with nowhere to g.
As a result they piled into each other and were left dazed as they slip trackside. Many of the fallers looked stunned as they picked themselves up.
But incredibly news from the Hisense Arena was that none of the cyclists suffered serious injury.
The cycling race in Melbourne, dating back to 1887, was stopped and re-run. But during the second effort there was another crash.
However, the 2km event was eventually won by Australian Zachary Marshall.
