Actor Benedict Cumberbatch got into a heated row with an Irish cyclist in central London as both were cycling
Benedict Cumberbatch has cultivated an image for himself as something of a gentleman actor over the years. But that didn't stop the British A-lister getting into a heated row with an Irish cyclist in London.
Both men were riding their bikes in central London when they paused roadside for a heated exchange.
Bystanders' phones soon came out to record the incident when they realised it was twice Oscar-nominated Cumberbatch involved.
The dispute - which was heated but never got out of hand - appeared to centre on an allegation Cumberbatch had broken a red light, and a bit more, on his cargo bike.
The man he was in dispute with - very clearly Irish, judging by his accent - was having none of it.

“You’re deluded," the Irish cyclist told him as he accused him of several misdeeds as he rode his bike. "I was behind you the entire time."
Cumberbatch replies: “Dude, you verbally abused me.”
The Irish rider then accuses him of "completely repeatedly" breaking the law, with Cumberbatch appearing to conceded he “did it once.”
The incident, according to reports, lasted for several minutes until the Irish cyclist, who was wearing a snood, left. Cumberbatch then posed for photos with some of the onlookers who had gathered.
