Riders in great distress as the temperatures reach extraordinary heights; Doha has not been a good choice for the Worlds.
In the first item below Norwegian 17-year-old Iver Knotten can be seen on the ground in great distress after lining out in the junior road race at the World Championships today.
But while the clip of him is perhaps the worst of this collection, every single one of these scenes appears to have been brought about by the heat.
As Luke Rowe's Tweet reveals; it reached 47.9 °C at one point. That’s far, far too hot for the kind of long hard races at the Worlds.
And there have also been more than a couple of safety bloopers with vehicles.
