UCD CC has received exciting news ahead of the new season, with bike manufacturers FUJI to supply the squad with top of the range equipment during the fast approaching 2016 campaign.
The outfit has also been boosted by the addition of Ben Delaney from Black Rose Racing, Louis Carnec from Sorrento CC, Paul O’Reilly from Fixx Rouleurs and Ciara Doogan from Errigal CC.

They will all ride the Fuji Transonic; a bike used in 2014 by Sam Bennett at NetApp-Endura.
Eoin Morton, one of the team’s top riders, said the new backing was a clear signal UCD CC was viewed as a very good place to advertise and market a brand such as FUJI.
“We’ve been very fortunate to have good sponsors over the years and this deal with FUJI continues that trend,” he said.
“Last season was one of our best ever years in terms of results; we managed to take a win in the classic league as well as challenge on general classification at the Rás and the Tour of Ulster.
“We’ve added some horsepower for 2016 and it’s going to be an exciting year racing against the bigger teams,” he added.
“We’re not in their league yet but with the best equipment we’re narrowing the gap for sure.”
Morton also said UCD CC intended to race in the UK and the US this year, with those plans still being finalised.

UCD CC will have the backing of bike manufacturers FUJI for the coming season, a move that should help them challenge for all the big events.
