Two of the best juniors in the country this year, Jamie Meehan and Deane Harvey, are on the move for next season having ridden for VC Glendale in 2021.

Harvey and Meehan - who claimed silver and bronze in the junior road race at the National Road Championships this year - will both ride for Spellman Dublin Port next season.

Their transfer to the Dublin-based road and track adds further to its strength for next season as it has already signed a number of very strong riders.

Ruairí Woods, Eoghan Cooke and Stefan Caulfield Dreier all impressed this year in the junior ranks and they will now step up to the U23 category next season as Spellman Dublin Port riders.

The two sets of transfers, announced last week and today, mean five of this year's leading juniors on the domestic scene will all ride for Spellman Dublin Port next year.

Harvey had a sensational year in 2021; winning the junior National Road Series and the Newcastle West Stage Race along the way. He represented Ireland at both the Worlds and Europeans and is also a very strong MTB and cyclocross rider.

Meehan also had a great year this year and was notable for performing at his strongest in many of the hardest races of the year, including his bronze at the nationals behind winner Darren Rafferty and runner-up Harvey.
